How we check

We collect public posts on X that advertise a specific income outcome, then try to verify the headline number against primary sources (product pages, TrustMRR, interviews, platform help centres). AI tools help us search and fetch pages; a human decides what we publish.

Two scores (kept separate)

Evidence grades and source independence

We tag each idea with the strongest evidence we actually found for the headline number — not what the post implied. Multiple posts from the same company or person count as one source. A vendor, agency, or affiliate showcasing a client is not independent. When we are unsure, we use the weaker grade.

Third-party data means either two independent revenue checks from journalists or platforms that actually support the headline figure, or one such check where we recorded observed data (for example a dashboard shown in an interview, or a live TrustMRR API read). Vendor case studies, relay posts, payment help docs, and failed platform lookups do not count. Founder quotes without observed numbers are founder-reported, not third-party data.

Payment-verified means a revenue check from an allowlisted payment-data platform (such as TrustMRR with a live API read) — not an App Store listing or a relay post alone.

Limits

We are not auditors. TrustMRR and similar platforms show what founders connect — not tax, profit, or cash in bank. See corrections if we got something wrong.
